Transformative Touch
Moving toward safety and connection
Transformative Touch is one of many Somatic Therapy modalities.
This work stems from the knowledge of the Poly Vagal Theory created by Steven Porges and blends pieces of Feldenkreis technique, Alexander Technique, neuroscience, and psychotherapy.

Why is it important to listen to our bodies?
Our body has a brain, its called the nervous system. Our nerves run through all facets of us, receiving and sending information about our environment. If we cannot sense into what our body is telling us, we are cut off from most of our innate wisdom. Being disconnected from our bodies stops us from experiencing life at full capacity.

Intention of session is to heighten bodily sensations through awareness in order to expand upon the messages coming from the body. Awareness is 80% of healing. The client may notice it becomes easier move from shutting down, to connecting. Moving from a state of stress, to calm and bringing this flexibility into their daily life.

Safety in the nervous system is the key to accessing deeper messages and shifts. Healing occurs when we feel fully welcome and trust in our surroundings.
